Check List for Samsung @ MWC 2014

We are sure there are many people who still haven’t recovered from the excitement of CES 2014. After all, it’s only  been 6 weeks. Anyway, if you are one of those people still getting an adrenaline rush thinking about all the cool tech gadgets from Samsung, we have news for you. Mobile World Congress 2014, MWC 2014, is only a few days away. What MWC is pretty self-explanatory; it is a premier mobile industry event on an international stage. According to the official website, MWC 2013 hosted more than 72,000 attendees and nearly 1,700 exhibitors utilizing 94,000 square meters of space. So what do you need to know about MWC 2014 and Samsung at MWC 2014? Here are the top 3 things we think you should be let in on.

Time & Place

MWC 2014 will be held from the 24th to 27th of February at Fira Gran Via in Barcelona, Spain; the same venue as last year. Technically, there are going to be a total of 8 Halls: Hall 1 to Hall 8 (plus Hall 8.1). There are going to be plenty of exhibitions to enjoy, although Samsung Tomorrow strongly recommends you stop by the Samsung booths.

As you can imagine, the scale of the MWC 2014 is pretty big. The Fira Gran Via will feature plenty of hospitality areas such as cafes and restaurants. The exhibitions will be open 9am to 7pm throughout the event, but it will close a bit early at 4pm on the last day, which is 27th of February. So don’t be late.

Samsung Unpacked 2014

It is no coincidence that Samsung Unpacked 2014 is going to be held in Barcelona. On Monday 24th February 2014, 20:00 CET Samsung Unpacked 2014 is going to make a lot of people happy, including us at Samsung Tomorrow. We at Samsung Tomorrow will feature live streaming and live blogging for the Samsung Unpacked 2014, so if you cannot make it to Barcelona, come check it out on global.samsungtomorrow.com.  

Remember, Samsung introduced the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 in 2013 at Unpacked events, so we guess you could expect something pretty epic in 2014 as well!

Samsung Developer Day 2014

If you are a developer, Samsung Developer Day should be as exciting as the Samsung Unpacked 2014. On Wednesday 26th February, from 10:00-18:00 CET, Samsung Developer Day 2014 will be held at the Theatre A, Hall 8.0, Fira Gran Via. MWC 2014 attendees will have access to the event with their passes. However, it seems like it is going to be a very popular event because the Samsung Developers’ official website says, “Depending on the capacity, on site registration may be limited.”

At this all-day event, Samsung Smart APP challenge 2013 Award Ceremony will be held. There will be sessions on Samsung Mobile SDK, Samsung MultiScreen SDK, Samsung Gaming Platform, Group Play SDK and more. Also, there will be a great line up of speakers and topics, such as the mobile app development trend by VisionMobile.
