Samsung unveils 40” LCD for HDTV

2003 saw the introduction of Samsung’s 40” LCD panel. The new 40” panel set another milestone in the development of advanced LCD technology. The introduction of large size, high-resolution and high-performance LCD panels greatly broadened the application market for these sophisticated flat panel solutions.

Leading the semiconductor industry, Samsung announced the world’s first 60nm 4-Gb NAND flash memory for mobile storage. The small size and large storage capacity was perfect for digital camcorders and MP3 players, allowing for more compact devices with greater power.
