[Infographic] Three Leaders From the Generation17 Program Explain How Technology Is Helping Them Give Communities a Lift

In a world where more than 3.5 billion1 people now have smartphones and roughly 4.2 billion2 use social media, technology and the platforms it provides access to, represent an enormous opportunity to realize positive change in the world. All over the world, people are taking advantage of these new opportunities to connect, pursue what they’re passionate about and make a difference.

 

Now, Samsung is exploring how technology is empowering the Young Leaders from Generation17 – a partnership between Samsung and the United Nations Development Program – to take on the UN’s Global Goals with their work. Below, young visionaries Tafara Mazaka, Shomy Chowdhury and Yejin Choi outline how digital tools are allowing them to bring much-needed services and support to under-resourced communities around the world.
