Samsung and Nikas Safronov have Joined Efforts to Support Children Sick with Cancer

Summary:

• Samsung Electronics Ukraine has become the technical partner of the exhibition of the most famous Russian artist Nikas Safronov, which will be located at the Museum of the Kiev history.

• Nikas Safronov has supported the social initiative Samsung Hope for Children, by transferring the funds to the National Cancer Center, obtained during charity auction and by participating in a drawing lesson for the children.

• The Samsung Hope for Children initiative has been activated in Ukraine for three years in a row and it has become one of the largest CSR programs in Ukraine

Samsung and Nikas Safronov have Joined Efforts to Support Children Sick with Cancer

Samsung Electronics Ukraine has become the technical partner of the exhibition of the most famous Russian artist Nikas Safronov, which will be located at the Museum of the Kiev history. As a part of the opening event a special charity auction was held where Samsung GALAXY Note 10.1 (2014 Edition) with exclusive content from Nikas Safronov – Dream Visions (total amount received at auction – 7400 USD, of which 20% came from the sale of tablet), the funds were transferred to the National Cancer Center of Ukraine. These funds became the contribution from Nikas Safronov to the support of the Samsung.

Hope for Children initiative, which is aimed at helping children sick with cancer, plus all the children, who undergo treatment at the National Cancer Center received special gifts – Nikas Safronov Souvenirs.

Social initiative Samsung. Hope for Children has been uniting Ukrainians in a fight against children’s cancer in Ukraine for over three years. Being a part of the global initiative the program in Ukraine focuses on improving effectiveness of treatment and diagnosis of cancer. This year Nikas Safronov joined the campaign and attended the Kiev department of the National Cancer Center together with Samsung representatives he has performed a drawing lesson for the children using the innovative Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 (2014 Edition), instead of a regular easel and paint. Together with the master all the children draw their dreams and learned some drawing techniques. The main idea of the drawing lesson “Draw your Dream” was to support the children in their fight against this terrible disease and help the children receive many positive emotions.
