Samsung announces availability of Galaxy Note 4 in Korea

Samsung Electronics today held ‘Galaxy Note 4 World Tour: Seoul’ to announce the commercial availability of Galaxy Note 4. Galaxy Note 4 is the fourth generation of the innovative Galaxy Note series with Samsung’s S Pen technology, which offers better interaction with the device and has established the ground for mobile devices with larger screens.

To be available in 140 countries by the end of October

Galaxy Note 4, since its first introduction in Berlin earlier this month , has garnered interest across the world. Especially with its advanced features and premium design, Galaxy Note 4 has been dubbed “phablet, refined”, “beast” and “king of phablets”.

Galaxy Note 4 will be available beginning September 26^th in Korea. Outside of Korea, Galaxy Note 4 will be ready to hit the shelves in 140 countries by the end of October.

A refined S Pen combined with the latest technologies and a premium metal design to offer the best mobile experience

Galaxy Note 4 offers an unrivaled usability using a refined S Pen, features the latest smartphone technologies and boasts a beautiful premium design. The result – best-in-class user experience.

Most notable of the changes is the evolution of S Pen and S Note. Samsung doubled the pressure sensitivity on the Galaxy Note 4 to 2,048 pressure registration points. It can recognize speed, direction and tilt, which allows it to provide a more natural feel for hand writing compared to its predecessor. Samsung also added features such as Calligraphy Pen and Fountain Pen features. A new Smart Select feature enables users to copy-and-paste, save and share selected information from any content from any active application. The Photo Note feature recognizes the analog memo on a paper or whiteboard from users’ photos, then allows users to edit them with the S Note.

The 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED display offers a best-in-class viewing experience with the finest and richest of colors. Also with a high brightness and low reflectiveness, users can enjoy videos and texts much clearer even under the sun.

Multi Window became even better on Galaxy Note 4, helping users take full advantage of the large 5.7-inch screen. For easier and better multi-tasking, you can choose how to access applications with full, split or pop-up screens. By dragging down from the top corner of a running application, you can switch the running app to a pop-up the size of your choice. You can also easily change the size and positioning of apps on the screen with one intuitive swipe.

Galaxy Note 4 is also equipped with a 16 megapixel rear-facing camera featuring a Smart Optical Image Stabilizer that counter-balances camera shake and automatically extends exposure time in dark settings. In addition, a 3.7 megapixel front-facing camera with f1.9 offers a default 90 degree shooting angle and up to 120 degree wide angle so users can take the best ‘wide selfies’ or ‘wefie’ with more friends.

Moreover, Galaxy Note 4 features the ‘Fast Charging’ feature, which charges the battery from 0% to 50% in about 30 minutes, and ‘Ultra Power Saving Mode’ that extends the usage time by activating only the essential functions. Together, they ensure that users don’t run out of power when they need it most.

The Galaxy Note 4’s metal frame offers extra protection while the 2.5D glass screen perfectly complements the device’s rich viewing experience. A soft-textured back cover provides incredible comfort that makes it easy to control with one hand.

The Galaxy Note 4, will be available in “Charcoal Black,” “Frost White,” “Bronze Gold,” and “Blossom Pink”

Galaxy Edge, Gear S Gear Circle and Gear VR also announced in Korea

Samsung also introduced Galaxy Note Edge and new wearable devices – Gear S, Gear VR and Gear Circle – to Korea.

The Edge Screen of the Galaxy Note provides users with a new way to access information, engage with their mobile device, and express their personal preferences.

Samsung’s latest smart wearable device, Gear S, features 3G connectivity, which allows users to stay informed seamlessly even when away from the phone.

Samsung also showcased the Gear Circle, which is worn around user’s neck. When paired with a smartphone, users can easily receive calls, listen to music, and make voice commands through Bluetooth connection.

Gear VR provides a full immerse experience of a cinematic virtual reality environment with the Quad HD Super AMOLED display and various advanced sensor technology of the Galaxy Note 4.

Availability and release schedule of Galaxy Note Edge, Gear S, Gear Circle and Gear VR may vary by region.
