Samsung Chord is a brilliant, simple, and fun way to share content and user events in real-time between devices. For example, Samsung Chord quickly connects nearby devices so users can create shared, real-time experiences like collaborative interaction, multi-player games and media sharing. Users are able to enjoy an instrument playing application with other users, and teachers and students can also demonstrate futuristic learning environment by working on the same document using different devices.

The Samsung Chord SDK allows developers to develop local information-sharing applications without a detailed knowledge of networking. For examples, users can download Chord applications via Group Play to network with friends.

Samsung Chord and Group Play got favorable responses by many developers at SDC 2013 Keynote, and Curtis Sasaki(Senior Vice President, Media Solutions Center of America, Samsung Electronics), introduced and demonstrated Chord and Group Play, as well as the related application, Air Hockey. The Air Hockey game app links two (or more) tablets together to make it more enjoyable for game lovers. Samsung Chord SDK helps users create a group with multi-devices in real-time, automatically, requiring no manual processing of devices.

Samsung Chord and Group Play session was attended by many developers, and these developers stayed in the room for at least 20 minutes after the presentation was over to ask questions. During Q&A session, I met a developer from United Public Safety and a founder of IllumiNAughTY Games Company named Ciara Belle.

And I thought learning about Samsung Chord and Group Play will help me in many ways. I came all the way from Philadelphia to attend this conference, and I was extremely pleased with how organized the event was. Also, I am very happy that I got to meet lots of talented developers.”– Ciara Belle

I also had a pleasant conversation with a Senior Developer, Sean Hajizadeh.
