Samsung Electronics Philippines Wins Big at Philippine Quill Awards 2015
Samsung Electronics Philippines Corporation (SEPCO) won three awards at the Philippine Quill Awards 2015, organized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines.
Among the awards won were an Award of Excellence in the Communication Management category for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge “Next Is Now” campaign, a Merit award for Communication Skills for the “Samsung: BenCab in Two Movements” campaign, and a Merit award for Corporate Social Responsibility for “Samsung Culture Connect”.
The Samsung Culture Connect campaign facilitated the appreciation and rediscovery of iconic but disappearing plazas in Manila – an important part of the social and cultural history of Philippine society. The campaign used a mobile application, virtual reality technology and public engagement via an exhibition event and seminars.
The BenCab in Two Movements was a unique and interactive art exhibit done in collaboration with a Philippine National Artist, Benedicto Cabrera, who celebrated his 50th anniversary as a visual artist.
The Next Is Now campaign brought to life Samsung’s identity as a relentless innovator that accelerates discoveries and possibilities for consumers. The launch of the Galaxy S6 & S6 edge introduced Samsung’s re-imagined design philosophy – creating new standards not only for design & craftsmanship, but also in performance, ultimately giving consumers an experience of future smartphone technology today. The campaign leveraged PR, fully integrated with digital & social media, identifying key global and local milestones to drive and amplify conversations throughout the duration of the three-month campaign.
The Philippine Quill Awards are the Philippines’ most prestigious honors for business communications. SEPCO’s triple win signifies not only excellence in business communications but also in creativity, collaboration and corporate citizenship.
