Samsung Expands Leadership Across Global Display Market with Premium Displays at IFA 2012
Samsung Electronics is accelerating its market leadership across the business (B2B) and consumer (B2C) display markets.
Samsung will introduce its advanced commercial displays at IFA 2012, including the world’s largest edge-LED display (ME75B), transparent display (NL22B) and 1:1 square display (UD22B). These new products are creating an entirely new market to serve the needs of businesses for larger and higher-end commercial displays that command consumer attention.
In addition, Samsung will reveal its latest monitors targeting the premium consumer market at IFA 2012, including its premium monitor (SB970) and the Series 7 Smart Station monitor (CB750), which supports wireless connectivity to multiple devices as the ultimate hub monitor solution.
World’s Largest 75-inch Edge-LED Large Format Display (LFD)
Samsung’s 75-inch LFD (ME75B) is the world’s largest edge-LED display, providing business users with a larger-than-life screen to play video content within a thin metallic black frame. Due to its slim design and is light weight compared to direct LED displays, the ME75B is easy to install. Ideal for meeting spaces and educational environments, this display is engineered for businesses seeking to reduce energy costs and eliminate the need for projection equipment.
Samsung’s First All-in-One Transparent Display
Samsung’s 22-inch transparent display (NL22B) is available as an all-in-one showcase, launching a new era of possibilities in digital retail design. Unlike similar products with low transmittance rates (5 percent) that can hide merchandise, Samsung’s transparent display offers a transmittance rate of 15 percent to accentuate the display of premium retail products.
1:1 Square Display
Providing an alternative to traditional rectangular displays, Samsung’s 1:1 square display with a super-narrow bezel offers businesses an extraordinary solution in retail, commercial and public locations for creating immersive visual experiences. The digital loop out creates a single image up to 100 displays.
Hospitality Display Solutions
Samsung’s hospitality display solutions offer hotels and resorts a complete, customizable content management system that saves both time and labor while enabling a seamless guest experience. With Samsung Interactive Remote Control for Hospitality (SIRCH) and Remote Enhanced Active Control for Hospitality (REACH), property managers can make all necessary updates to guestroom TVs from a central control room.
This RF-based solution eliminates the need for set-top boxes and enhances the guest experience by making hotel and program information easily accessible. IP-based solutions H-Browser and Samsung’s Content Management Solution (CMS) make it simple and cost-effective for customers to provide premium content options to guests.
Samsung’s Premium Monitor
Samsung’s Series 9 monitor (SB970) redefines the premium consumer monitor market. With Natural Color Expert technology supported by a built-in calibration engine, consumers can enjoy accurate, true-to-life color with better than full HD resolution. Guaranteeing professional quality, each Series 9 monitor is individually hand-calibrated during the final stage of production.
