Samsung Exynos 5 Dual Powers the New Google Chromebook

Samsung Electronics announced that its Exynos 5 Dual application processor powers the new Google Chromebook*. Exynos 5 Dual is the industry’s first ARM Cortex-A15 CPUs and ARM Mali-T604 GPUs, enabling increased performance with more power-efficient designs for mobile devices.

 

 

 

 

 

The Exynos 5 Dual, with two CPU cores running at a blazing 1.7GHz, its high-powered multi-core GPU, full high-definition multimedia capabilities, and the highest available memory bandwidth in an mobile SoC opens up more opportunities for PC manufacturers. The adoption of 32nm High-K Metal Gate (HKMG) process technology, complemented with Samsung’s unique low-power design methodology, allows for high performance as well as superior power efficiency for the next generation Chromebook and other mobile devices.
