Samsung Introduces World’s First TV-Matching Curved Soundbar

Company unveils new audio product lines at IFA 2014

Samsung Electronics announced it will unveil a new audio product line, including the HW-H7500/H7501 – the world’s first TV-Matching Curved Soundbar designed to work in conjunction with Samsung’s Curved TVs. Samsung will release the Curved Soundbar along with the M3, the latest addition to the Wireless Audio Multiroom product line, at IFA 2014 in Berlin. Samsung’s latest offerings deliver powerful sound options to better meet consumers’ listening needs.

Curved Soundbar

Completing the Samsung’s ‘Total Curved Solution’ together with the Curved TV, Samsung’s HW-H7500/H7501 TV-Matching Curved Soundbar can be used as a stand or mounted type for wall-mounted TV with 55 and 65 inch Samsung Curved UHD TVs – complimenting the aesthetic design of the TV.  The Curved Soundbar is perfect for wall-mounting as it can easily be installed under the TV – replacing the TV stand – without the need to drill separate holes into the wall.

The Curved Soundbar has a slim width of 42 mm and a curvature radius of 4,200 mm – the same curvature of the Samsung Curved UHD TVs – and delivers a greater sense of curve by surrounding the viewer and providing a truly powerful listening experience. The Curved Soundbar is an evolution of premium design, crafted with a finely brushed aluminum finish that highlights Samsung’s unique premium identity and perfectly matches Samsung’s 55 and 65 inch Curved TVs.

In addition to its design, the Curved Soundbar also delivers immersive sound and user-friendly functions. Featuring 8.1 channel support, the Curved Soundbar adds two speaker units on the both of sides, delivering sound from three directions, thereby producing more spatial and overwhelming surround sound. Samsung’s proprietary technology provides more detailed sound, with amped up mid and low-range capabilities for improved fidelity and minimized sound distortion. Users can control these features through Samsung TV remote controls and by connecting the Soundbar to the Samsung TV wirelessly via “TV SoundConnect.”

M3 Wireless Audio Multiroom

Samsung has also added a new product to its Wireless Audio Multiroom Series – the M3. The M3 joins the M7 and the M5 as part of the wireless home entertainment product line, and offers a more compact and affordably priced option for consumers looking to enjoy a multiroom sound experience.

Samsung Wireless Audio Multiroom provides a simple plug-and-play installation, plug in and download the free application, and received the “Easy Installation” official accreditation from TUV, an official certification authority in Germany. Due to the M3’s compact size, people can enjoy clear and balanced sound even in smaller areas around the home. Users can also listen to music from multiple audio devices controlled by smartphone or tablet.

To take full advantage of multiroom sound, Samsung has partnered with Spotify and will introduce their joint strategy at IFA 2014 to provide users a more diverse music catalogue and the ability to have their music follow them throughout the home. As part of the partnership, users can play more than two Samsung Wireless Audio Multiroom at once – for the first time for Spotify Connect.

“Following the successful launch of our Curved TVs, Samsung is looking to expand the curved line-up with the introduction of Curved Soundbar – a first ‘Total Curved Solution’ for the consumer AV industry,” said Young Lak Jung, Vice President of the Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “As the market leader in curved technology, Samsung strives to create the most complete home entertainment experience – whether that’s watching the latest 4K content on our Curved UHD TVs, immersing yourself in incredible surround sound or listening to the latest music throughout your home.”
