Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 Finalists Experience a Transformative Journey in Panama

Latinoamérica on December 8, 2025

The Latin America edition of Samsung Solve for Tomorrow 2025 brought together student finalists from Costa Rica, Ecuador, Paraguay, Trinidad and Tobago, Venezuela for a meaningful experience that combined innovation with cultural exchange and personal growth. Held in Panama City, the event went beyond the awards ceremony, offering the finalists a range of group experiences that strengthened their confidence, broadened their perspectives and deepened their commitment to creating positive change through science and technology.

Upon arrival, students were welcomed by Samsung Electronics and Glasswing International staff into a warm and supportive environment. The visit gave them an opportunity to explore Panama’s engineering landmarks and historical sites, prompting reflections on the power of infrastructure and its potential to drive social impact.

Exploring the city together helped the finalists connect on a personal level. Shared meals and local cuisine became moments for the teams to exchange experiences, discuss their project ideas and learn from one another. Although each team faced different challenges in their respective communities, they all shared the same goal — using science and technology to build solutions that can truly support their communities.

Presenting their projects to the jury became a defining moment for many participants. The Ecuadorian team shared how stepping onto an international stage boosted their confidence and encouraged them to pursue their goals. The opportunity allowed all five teams to showcase the creativity, technical skills and social awareness behind their proposals.

The diversity of the solutions highlighted the program’s regional relevance. From Costa Rica’s agriculture-focused technology to Ecuador’s environmental sanitation proposal, Paraguay’s floating bicycles for river cleanup, Trinidad and Tobago’s community flood alert system and Venezuela’s socially oriented robotics initiative, the projects demonstrated that innovation thrives when different perspectives meet.

The experience in Panama reinforced the idea that Solve for Tomorrow is more than a competition — it’s a developmental journey. The finalists returned home with a broader vision of what they can achieve and a renewed commitment to creating meaningful impact through technology, reflecting the program’s role in empowering future innovators.
