A market report released on Monday has shown that Samsung Electronics continues to lead the pack in the global monitor market for 22 consecutive quarters (over 5 years), retaining its number one position in the LCD market while surging past rivals in LED sales.

In the LCD market, Samsung has maintained 15.1% of the market share from 2010 to 2011, while in terms of LED, Samsung has taken 19.6% of the market share, expanding the gap with 2nd place.

In the large-sized (24”+) LCD monitor market, Samsung has surpassed its competitors in a dramatic fashion, going from 18.3% in 2010 to 34.7% in 2011, firmly placing them at number one.

In Central and South America, the increase in market share is even more striking, increasing a staggering 60.3% from 2010’s 17.8% to 78.1% in 2011. This marked increase is attributed to the success of the ‘premium brand’ marketing strategy as well as increasing brand awareness.

Thanks to tireless innovation coupled with keen marketing strategies, Samsung shows no sign of slowing down in the global monitor market.
