With some emerging economies struggling to establish adequate training and educational opportunities for youths wanting to enter the technology industry, a shortage of qualified engineers, technicians and IT staff could become an increasingly serious problem. Is there an opportunity here for economic growth?

The Guardian’s Sustainable Business section recently published an article by Seokpil Kim, Chief Citizenship Officer & Head of Global Marketing Operation at Samsung, titled “The challenge of filling the skills gap in emerging economies”.

The article discusses how some countries and companies are dealing with the talent deficiency and references several on-going examples, such as Samsung’s Tech Institutes.  To read this article, please visit  the Guardian Sustainable Business.
