Samsung Electronics Vietnam held a closing ceremony for the 2023-2024 edition of its local Samsung Innovation Campus, aimed at developing tech skills for Vietnamese youth. The program offers courses in IoT, artificial intelligence, big data and basic programming for students aged 13-22, combining online and in-person training. It reached 67 schools in 13 provinces, with nearly 6,400 students participating this past year. At the closing ceremony, Samsung awarded prizes to winning teams of the “Innovation Tech Challenge – 2024” competition, which was a platform to showcase students’ knowledge and skills from the SIC, and 60 scholarships to outstanding students and highlighted Vietnam’s growing role in the global high-tech industry.

While 83% said science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) skills were essential to creating positive change, only 25% felt confident in their own STEM skills.
