Trying something new is rarely easy. Fortunately, when it comes to starting a new business, there are groups that lend entrepreneurs a helping hand and nurture their growing startups. Samsung’s C-Lab Outside is one of those groups.

C-Lab Outside is a startup acceleration program that supports new businesses by harnessing the know-how of C-Lab Inside – an in-house venture initiative that Samsung Electronics has been running for more than seven years. The C-Lab Outside program seeks to encourage the domestic startup ecosystem by offering new companies up to 100 million KRW in financial support, as well as free office space and expert mentoring for one year.

Meet ‘Dobrain’, a startup that provides a mobile service that assesses children’s cognitive development and helps facilitate treatment if needed. Another venture company, ‘Pixel Display’, has developed an eye exam service that is available on smartphones.
