Samsung Electronics Receives ISO 27001 and 27701 Certifications for VXT, MagicINFO and LYNK Cloud Systems
Leading certifications affirm the exceptional safety and security standards of Samsung’s digital signage content management systems
Samsung Electronics, the global number one digital signage provider for 14 consecutive years,1 today announced that it has achieved ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certifications from the British Standards Institution (BSI) for its digital signage content management systems (CMSs). The three systems awarded with the certifications are the Samsung Visual eXperience Transformation (VXT) platform, MagicINFO™ and LYNK Cloud™.
ISO/IEC 27001:2022 is the leading standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMSs), which defines the various requirements that an ISMS needs to meet. As an extension of the 27001 standard, ISO/IEC 27701:2019 specifies requirements and provides guidance for establishing, maintaining and improving a Privacy Information Management System (PIMS) within the context of an organization.
“The protection of customer data and operations has become a fundamental requirement of the industry,” said Alex Lee, Executive Vice President of Visual Display Business at Samsung Electronics. “Being awarded these certifications is indicative of our continued efforts to ensure our digital signage solutions are highly reliable and trustworthy platforms for customers.”
By obtaining these certifications, Samsung’s digital CMSs have further demonstrated their adherence to the highest standards in information security. The globally acknowledged certifications emphasize the importance of securely managing both company and customer data, focusing on principles like data integrity, availability and confidentiality, while also reaffirming Samsung’s commitment to upholding these standards consistently across all areas of digital signage operations.
“In an era where data security is paramount, standardized certifications provide businesses with the assurance and peace of mind they need when managing sensitive information,” said Dénelise L’Ecluse, Managing Director of Assurance for Continental Europe at BSI. “The ISO/IEC 27001:2022 and ISO/IEC 27701:2019 certifications awarded to Samsung VXT, MagicINFO™ and LYNK Cloud™ systems exemplify the high level of security and trust these platforms offer to B2B customers.”
