To make the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge water and dust resistant, satisfying IP68 specifications, an exclusive type of water protective tape has been added to the back of the front and rear glass of the phone’s casing.

Galaxy S7 edge Display:
With a dual-curved display in a 5.5-inch device, the Galaxy S7 edge offers an even more immersive experience in an equally stunning display. Plus, the expanded edge panel, which is now 550 pixels wide, provides users with more room to use the growing range of edge functions, like Apps edge, People edge, Tasks edge, Night clock and Quick tools.

Bracket:
To have a smartphone this thin and elegant, it needs to be as strong as possible, and the bracket of the Galaxy S7 protects the components from shocks and other impacts.
Cooling System:
In order to ensure the Galaxy S7 can handle even the toughest of processing loads—for example, from really graphics-intensive games—these new devices have added a cooling system, with a very thin thermal spreader.
microSD Card Slot:
Adding a hybrid SIM tray to the new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge, these smartphones can now be expanded up to 200GB of memory, ensuring there is plenty of room for the photos, videos, music and other content that users want to carry with them.

Following Samsung’s development of high-speed wired charging, now the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge feature fast charging wirelessly.
HRM Sensor:
The heart rate sensor enables users to monitor their physical information, which can be checked through the S Health app. In addition, the front-facing camera of the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge lets you take selfies using your heart rate monitor sensor.
USB Connector:
The new Galaxy S7 and S7 edge smartphones are IP68 certified, meaning they are dust resistant and water resistant for up to 1.5 meters deep for 30 minutes. To accomplish this, all the ports, including the USB charging terminal, had to be made from anticorrosive materials like nickel and platinum, with a Gore lining to ensure the elements stay out.
